They call it Weihnachtsmarkt, but we can use the simpler term and congenial to Christmas Markets a place you must visit in Berlin in addition to the many attractions of the city: from the bridge Oberbaumbrücke, the museum of the Ramones and others.

In Berlin and the surrounding area from November 26 to December 31 more than 60 Christmas markets are set up in public squares and parks. The most characteristic would be to Spandau Altstadt, with 250 wooden chalets around which play jazz and medieval representations. At Gendarmenmarkt however you can find in a strange combination sculptures in stone and wood and culinary specialties.

From 26 of November for exactly one month we will be in Potsdamer Platz Christmas Market Winter World which also offers a toboggan run and one for ice skating. The Lucia Christmas Market will instead be set up in the courtyard of Kulturbrauerei, offering always on a brazier to keep warm while listening to music and buying products from Scandinavian countries. Right across from the Red Town Hall in Berlin, Roten Rathaus Platz vor dem, there will be a Berliner Weihnachtszeit traditional market, with Ferris wheel, ice-skating and farm animals for the happiness of children.
