During Easter in London all tourist attractions, museums, markets and stores will be open normally during the weekend and holidays, with few exceptions. If you plan to visit some of the most famous attractions in London during Easter, such as going up to the London Eye, riding a tourist bus, visiting Madame Tussauds or entering the wonderful Tower of London, do not worry because you can visit everything without problems. On Friday, April 19, 2019 there will be an outdoor theatrical performance in Trafalgar Square on the crucifixion of Jesus to celebrate Easter in London. It will last about 90 minutes, and will be represented twice, at 12.00 and at 15.15h. It is a free event,  thus it’s not necessary to buy tickets.

On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 of April, the chocolate festival will be held in London, coinciding with the weekend of Easter. Here you can see authentic works of art made with chocolate as well as being able to try and buy all kinds of chocolate. The Fantastical Chocolate Festival will be held at The Clapham Grand.

For the rest of the year, Buckingham Palace serves as a residence and office for the Queen and the royal family, and State halls are frequently used by the royal family for visits and ceremonies.
