It is so popular that it has been exported all over the world. We celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday, March 17. Concerts, parades and plenty of beer will be the players with the purest Irish spirit. The festivities will start from Dublin and cascade to many other destinations.
You can celebrate the patron saint of Ireland in most places of the world but it inevitably starts from Dublin. Visit an Irish Pub or a Guinness Storehouse for a fabulous weekend. The best thing happening in this city on Sunday is the big green parade that will flood the streets.
Even among our own borders we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day which for many can be done at a low cost. In Stuttgart from Friday to Sunday there is the St. Patrick’s Festival dedicated to the Celtic culture of Ireland. The pubs have been chosen and polished for the occasion along with concerts and traditional crafts. Rome instead will be full of Irish during the Saturday afternoon to play an Italy Ireland rugby match valid for the 6 Nations. You can bet that after the game ends, no matter who wins, there will be a huge celebration!
Finally we need to mention that if you hold a ticket to New York you should know that a great green parade will be staged in Manhattan ready to fill with brass and bagpipes. The wait is till Saturday along 5th Avenue from 44th to 79th, ending in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Then everyone will give way to the beer!
