Valencia | Visit to the Albufera Natural Park

A trip to Valencia opens up the possibility of visiting the Albufera Natural Park located just 10 kilometers south of the city. The center of this visit is located in the town of El Palmar, an enclave very popular to go to enjoy a paella at one of several restaurants on the same part and the starting point for boat trips you can take in the Albufera. In one of these excursions I enjoyed during my last trip to Valencia we were aboard a traditional barge in the Albufera Park and croess the very calm waters of this great park.

This tour will be able to have a surprise in store for those who choose to visit the traditional Valencian barracks museum. This housing was used in rural areas of the Levantine provinces but had its greatest use by fishermen who lived on the banks of the lagoon. Today, in this area are few barracks of which only two are more than 200 years old.  you can visit during this tour goes back a hundred years.

Near the end of the tour with the barge on the Albufera there’s stops to see the cabin. It is a very curious and instructive visit because inside this Valencian cabin is perfectly acclimated as still residing in them fishermen who lived there. In anticipation of a possible visit, here’s photos of the Albufera Valencian cabin.
