Cuenca is a Spanish destination that has many natural areas ideal for lovers of adventure sports and outdoor activities. One of these offers is canyoning. Canyoning in Cuenca is characterized by ideal space for all kinds of adventure, from beginner to expert in this activity and the constant presence of water in each point of the journey. The practice of canyoning is ideal between the months of March and October and usually requires half a day of our time so it can be included in any kind of itinerary. In our travels we can jump puddles, finding waterfalls, slide down slides, etc. Cuenca highlights three spots to practice canyoning:
The Devil’s window. This place offers an activity of at least three hours also known as the gorge of The Cut and is ideal to get started in this sport. Your trip can be made from eight years old so you can be a family activity we conduct.
The Barranco Portilla. Here we are in front of a barrel of intermediate and is only recommended for over twelve year olds. You are recommended to have wetsuit, helmets, ropes and dry clothes to change after the activity.
Arroyo de la Dehesa. If you have already done canyoning before and visited destinations of intermediate intensity, you can choose this point. Here we perform an activity of at least five hours. To get the best of it we recommend having climbing shoes, ropes, helmet and other equipment because here there are obstacles such as slides, jumps and abseils.
