Brazil has many beautiful beaches and some of them fairly are considered as the some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Today we are going in the state of Rio Grande do Norte where 164 km away from Fortaleza there is a small and poor fishing village called Canoa Quebrada or canoe route in English.
This small fishing village, nestled among the dunes and cliffs, has already entered the category of ”ex”! Ex unknown place, ex poorly attended with a growing popularity among tourists, Brazilians first and then International. Despite everything, Canoe Quebrada has not lost (yet) the character of a small village. Life here is so simple although during the night you can see many bars, restaurants, shops and its main street which is locally known as Broadway.
Sea and sun in Canoe Route are declined not only for relaxing but also to physicaly exercise as there are many activities you can attend like ride a horse (or donkey for children), sailing, kite & windsurfing or even sandsurfing, taking advantage of the large sand dunes which flow into the ocean.
To those who are taking a nice direct flight to Fortalezza, we recommend the beach of Praia de Pipa or a cruise on the Amazon River.
