Madrid and the Museum of Jamòn | Plaza Mayor

Dear travelers, are you in Madrid? Well then you have no excuse not to spend the evening in the Plaza Mayor which is considered one of the most luxury travel spots of the city. If you are already at the Plaza Mayor and do not want to feel just like any tourist in Madrid, you should definitely stop at the Museum of Jamòn. Museum of the ham, Iberian ham that that does not fear competition of any ham. The Museum of Jamòn is a butchery, a delicatessen, a café, and a restaurant. All these things and much more. It is the real Madrid, its soul, the liveliness and change, it is the joy.

Upon entering you can not see the ceiling due to hundreds of hanging sausages, salami, ham and cheese of any kind which lead you up to the counter and further inland at the tables if you want to taste the local specialties while sitting. However I do not recommend it.

Madrid is natural with tens and hundreds of kids flocking to the museum to order the typical croissant stuffed with jamon iberico, or chorizo or maybe one of the many delicious cheeses on the menu to eat standing at the counter by spending only 1 euro. Yeah, that’s right: only 1 euro! Then what? Then go for a walk to Plaza Mayor for ice cream or to find some souvenirs or enjoy the calm chaos of a square that is the heart of the city.
