Bettmeralp in Switzerland | A ski resort without cars

Ski holidays are nice but now even there you find traffic! There are places that you can hardly reach PEO in the car and one of them is the location of Bettmeralp Aletsch glacier with its 104 km of ski slopes and 72 km of groomed trails for winter hiking and which can only be reached through a cable car. Here the list of excursions through forests and enchanting villages is so long it can provide travel times for all tastes.

But thanks to the closure of traffic it is especially ideal for families because there’re plenty of activities for children under 6 years old who use free ski (among others, parents here can use the same ticket to alternate timetables). The Kindersonnenland is a kind of amusement park in the snow with Snow Tubes, ski room and heated games in the event of heavy snow. From 14 to 21 you can instead skate with plastic penguins or play with the pins on the ice track.

For indoor moments it will be useful to switch to the toy library where you can borrow children’s books and toys without having to bring them from home. It helps save space and luggage since you can rent here a series of articles for children backpacks, type holder baby prams, cots, high chairs and even plug socket covers.
