Holidays in Norway | Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel in Alta

Every detail of Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, from furniture to the glasses in the bar, is made of ice and snow (and often handmade). It ‘s the fourteenth time they built this ice hotel in Norway which will open in January 1, 2103 and will remain operational until the start of April but you do not need to be the hotel’s customer to admire it because the ice hotel is also visited from the public for several hours a day.

And if you are interested in staying in Sorrisniva which is close to the Norwegian city of Alta you can decide to come here even if the budget is fairly high. However because of the contour there are only 30 rooms available in which it must be said that the average temperature is around -4 degrees. Crucial point for you to know about the bathroom is that you can rest easy because the toilets are placed in a wooden building which also contains the sauna.

To eat you go to Lakesestua Restaurant located in a sort of tepee where they serve dishes of reindeer or fish while for drinks there is only one. Vodka in a ice hand forged glass. A taste will probably be useful if you’re planning a snowmobile safari which can last from a few hours to several days with overnight stay in a real traditional Sámi tent.
